Help identify this chirping noise at startup and shut down please!

    It sounds something like a dolphin or porpoise trapped in my engine bay at certain times while driving but most pronounced when starting up or shutting down. I have a hunch it's air in the hybrid coolant system or maybe a bad pump but previous owner replaced it not that long ago. Also wondering if it might be a failed seal on the coolant cap but not sure how best to check it. Would love to know if anyone else has heard a similar sound and knows the fix. I've imbedded mp3 files for the sound at startup and shutdown. Thanks!

    Those are some weird links to Google that do nothing as far as I can tell.

    I don't know sounds like a pretty normal 7:30 8:00 a.m. North Carolina startup and then on the shutdown is when I really hear the chirping but I can't imagine where that's coming from your eye should be taking you right to it even if you can't see it like right to the hood or right to the dash or something hard to explain I guess I guess you've had your friends and whatnot just for haha's take a look or listen or I don't know.

    Looks like they maybe worked for Tombukt2, so maybe it's more a matter of "the files are ok, but putting them on drive.google.com doesn't work for all of us".

    In the past I've found it simpler to just attach them to the post on PriusChat. One-stop shopping.

    But sometimes there's a headache where PriusChat won't allow attaching a certain file type, and then I just zip it and attach the zip file instead.

    The sound on the startup, if I'm picking the right sound, seems like the HVAC damper doors. They sometime groan.

    The shutdown sound that's a loud whirring, sounds to me like the coolant recovery tank pump pumping coolant into the coolant recovery tank.

    The first is common and harmless, but not really normal. The second is as it should be.
