Hi all, my wife and I bought a Toyota Auris Hybrid on 30 Aug 2014 and we are absolutely enthusiastic about her !
Sure, there are a few bits and odds I'd like to improve (and most cannot be improved) but overall we are very satisfied with her !
AURIS being the same chassis and drivetrain as the Prius, but a slightly smaller and sleeker body.
    European market only, it seems.

    Welcome to the forum.

The Auris hybrid is a nice popular car. Which one did you get? Was it the hatchback or the wagon? What colour? Can you post a picture to show the Americans what they're missing?

One thing to check is your tyre pressures. Even slightly below the correct level will result in high fuel consumption.

    Welcome to Priuschat!
I would also like to see Auris pics if you could post.
Would anyone know how Auris coefficient of drag and frontal area compare to the US hatchback?
Any direct comparisons of mpg from a reputable testing agency?
Is Auris hybrid available as a rental car in UK or Germany?
I +1 Grumpy on the tire pressure issue--dealers here always reset to factory specs after a service, but the tires are then HOT, so when they cool off by the next morning they are actually under-pressure and mpg really drops.

Under the EU ratings the Auris should get the same as the Prius for fuel economy. In reality owners on the UK forums are finding the economy, whilst good, just falls ever so slightly short of the Prius.

But the car looks like a normal car and is quite stylish.
