I am trying to replace the socket that the headlight leveler sensor plugs into and I would like to know if anyone can verify the information I have so far. A Toyota dealership said the socket part # is 90980-11016 And it seems to be correct, The three wires that go in it sounds like they are all the same kind of wire and gave me this part # and said I would need 3, 82998-12440 If anyone has knowledge or experience with this I would appreciate any feedback, thank you
Another update on my original post 90980-11016 does not seem to be anything close to what I need....hopefully someone knows the correct part I need
Welcome! I wrote this earlier post (and the one it links to) as a guide to how you find the exact part numbers you're looking for in your wiring diagram at techinfo.toyota.com. -Chap
Very cool I will have to save that for future reference Chap. I had a long conversation with an extremely helpful Toyota parts guy, who then called me back after talking to a master technican and got me the part # I was looking for 90980-11860 Thank you for the information I will definitely use it in the future
When there's not a readily available part number, it's because it's usually sold as part of a larger assembly, ie: a whole new wiring harness? Which would be a bit of a sand-pounder, I know. Those pictures, especially the first, illustrate the incredibly deleterious effects of salty winter conditions, btw.
You won’t find a part number for connector as that was put on the car as an entire wiring harness. But Toyota does sell repair parts for wiring harness.
As far as I can see, the OP did find a part number for the connector (see post #5), and, in general, you can find part numbers for nearly all the connectors used in the wiring harnesses, right in the wiring diagram as explained in post #4. -Chap
