The right front headlight bulb on my 2005 Prius went out, not long
after the left one went out. Replacing the left one wasn't difficult,
but the right one has the windshield washer reservoir in the way. I
got the fuse-box connector removed, and the nut that holds the
reservoir to the firewall removed, but the clip that holds it to the
side firewall wouldn't budge, and I stopped when I thought it would
break. I'm sure there's an easy way to free up this clip, but couldn't
    figure it out.

Any one been through this exercise before?

    thanks,
    John

Thanks, Tideland Prius. By "front cover" do you mean the cover of
the headlight? I was trying to get to the bulb from the engine
compartment, just as I had done for the left (driver) side, after
removing the fuse box cover. Did you access the passenger side
bulb differently from the driver side one? Sorry if I'm sounding
    confused about this.

I believe he was talking about the black cover that is shown in the owners manual for light bulb change. I found the drivers side bulb more difficult to change than the pasenger side because you have to use your left hand, I'm right handed.

Yeah I am starting to be confused lol. Just to be clear, are you talking about the passenger's side or the driver's side bulb?

The driver's side bulb is the one with the fuse box in the way (makes for a tight fit and like seasalsa, I have to use my left hand). The passenger side bulb is the side with the tall black plastic pipe thingy (I forgot what it's for) in the way.

Just checked back on this post. Thanks for the response. Once I figured out what
"front cover" meant, the rest was OK. I was referring to the passenger side (where
the windshield washer reservoir is on the 2005's). I'll try and add some pictures of
the first steps for this (passenger) side, if that's possible to do.
