Hatch struts groaning

    Each time I open the hatch get a groan that sounds like myself getting up each morning.

    Finally took out the can of NAPA silicone lube today and sprayed a tiny portion on a paper towel and swiped the chrome colored inner rods of each strut. Perfection.

    Alternatively you can replace them for under $30 from rock auto. Just don’t use eBay parts

    That is pretty much what I used to do, but I found the effect to be short-lived. I now use my favorite lube which I use for a lot of around the home and car lubrication jobs. Also great on the hatch and door hinges.

    Try CRC Multilube Gel:
