One of my thoughts is to spoof MG2 to the car so I can trick the inverter into generating a 120 VAC, 3-phase and/or two, 120 VAC, 2-phase power outputs. One of the first tests is to see if the car throws a code if the front is lifted off the ground, rear wheels blocked, and put the car in "D". Does it throw a code? Before running the experiment, I thought I'd ask, Bob Wilson
Probably not very helpful but with gen 2 in maintenance mode you can do that and it doesn’t cause codes.
It'll likely illuminate a traction control light due to the relative speed difference of the front and rear wheels. But that's not a big deal. It'll disappear after a short drive.
ABS will code but I'm pretty sure the wheels will keep on spinning. Use this http://amzn.com/B000XSEBEK if cruise control disables itself because wheel speed sensors not reporting properly.
