has anyone improved the alarm system with hornet 727T ?

I am thinking about adding a better alarm system in the prius.
The fact that a thief is able to bend up the hood and steal the headlights and the alarm dosen't go off is really bad.

The Hornet 727T is supposed to work with the OEM remotes so I think it might work with the smartkey system.

If I can get this 727T to work with the smartkey system I can also have auto door lock when the engine is started and unlock when turned off. Of course I would also install alarm pins in the hood to protect the engine compartment which is really lacking in the OEM alarm system.

I figured I should ask in this forum and see if anyone has already tried this or found a better way.
