I have my cell phone attached to a mount that is a sucksion cup attacked to the small drivers side window. I would like to wire the micro-usb into the kick panel someplace to get it power so I can free up the 12v plug under the center console. Can anyone point me in a direction where I can do this? (looking at you cproaudio)
I've done similar projects for different type of devices. I got an adapter from Radio Shack Enercell 12V/10A Vehicle Adapter Socket with Battery Clips : DC Car Adapters | RadioShack.com. I just cut off the ends and found a place to tap in for power. I put mine behind a dash panel and was good to go. I did tie wrap the two adapters together just to make sure they didn't come apart. Pretty easy job to do.
