I have a 2010 Prius - Premium package (Canada) reserved, waiting for an update on its status (and of course waiting for the Canadian prices!).

I've read many posts recently about clients in the US being pushed unsolicited equipment preinstalled at port with their car.

Can anyone confirm if the same situation can happen in Canada? Should I be worried and address this possibility formally with my dealer or is this a US-specific issue?

Well if you put a deposit down AND You have an invoice saying what you are getting and AT MSRP, I don't think you will have a problem.
PS An Invoice Listing What will be on the car will help also.

It's a US thing. All the cars our family has bought has had nothing added that we didn't request or that was standard but "added" as an accessory. Keep in mind that we do pay a ridiculously high PDI fee (not just Toyota, most manufacturers in Canada).
