When I am pulling out of my apartment parking space, I have to roll slowly backwards out of the garage. So I go at 2-3 mph with my foot on the brake. I hear a quiet grinding sound - not continuous, but pulsing. Is this a warped brake rotor?

Mine only does this if I wash it and never move it until the next day. The front brakes make the most horrendous grinding sound for the first couple of stops.

the rotors can build up a light coating of rust overnight from moisture. it comes off fairly quickly when driving. if it is bad, you can coast in neutral and brake gently, that will take it right off.

The C also has drum brakes on the back. These automatically adjust when the brakes are applied when backing up. But I hear the same faint noise nearly every day when I head out.
