    Before we can see a decline, the rate of growth in CO[2} has to tamp down and change slope. Looking at the latest data, my lying eyes see the rate of growth has slowed in the past two decades. Instead of a steeping curve, left side, the growth curve appears to be closer to a straight line.

    This is not victory as much as "less bad." The reasons:
    • Solar and wind - stored in grid batteries, it is cheaper than fossil fuel generated.
    • Electric vehicles - cleaning up urban pollution, they also reduce the CO[2} contribution.
    The path to victory will be the growth slope begin to reduce, to start to curve towards flat.
