So a friend gave me a burned GPS update disc, but I've read 2 different instructions on how to install it. One simply says to turn the car off and switch the discs under the driver's seat. The other says to do the same but also needing to remove one of the fuses in order to "reset" it. Just wondering if anyone has tried this?
I did the same thing recently but did NOT have to remove any fuse. I turned the car on so that the DVD would have power to eject the disc, then I inserted the new disc. That was it. The sad part is that now I can't do the override. I knew that upfront because I wanted the latest version of the maps. Works great!!
