Since we bought a Rav4 hybrid 3 years ago, my Prius has mostly just been my around town vehicle, around 3,000 miles per year. My wife usually drives the Rav around town and we use it together including on road trips. At the same time I want a vehicle with newer safety and convenience features. For example, we have very different seat positions and especially like the driver seat memory in the Rav. It turns out that only one non luxury manufacturer (and just a couple of luxury ones) puts seat memory in their Prius size or smaller vehicles. We now have a Mazda CX-30 on order, due in in about 10 days. Since we still have, and love, a Toyota hybrid, I'll still be active here. Rav4 forums don't come close to the in depth discussions on Priuschat. As for our 2010 Prius IV, it has 105k miles, runs perfectly, is near perfect inside, has some normal dings outside for a 12+ yr old vehicle. Two dealers and Carmax have all offered the same $6500 for it. They would touch up the outside and turn around and offer it for sale for $3000 more. I'd save about $600 in taxes by trading it in but would love to see it go to someone who would do the preventative maintenance that would keep it going a lot longer. So if there is anyone in Colorado who would pay around $8100, I be happy to talk about it. I figure that would be a win/win n the current market. Thanks for being such a great community.
Had a Rav4 Hybrid for a while, great automobile. Ultimately didn't need the space so traded down. The whole Rav4 forum thing is precisely how I found my way to Priuschat to begin with! Wouldn't know even an iota of the stuff I do about the Prii without PC.
