i don't know if this is the right place to intro, but lately i've been kind of stressed out - hope it does not piss any of you off. really interested if my prius's 11.9 gallon bladder can last 900 miles along interstate 10 (really don't want to discuss the trip). ok, this is edgy, but would tailing an 18-wheeler get me there non-stop?

    thanks in advance

Use the bladder, and hook a rope to the tractor-trailer.

    That should do it.

I was looking for the number at the bottom of your avatar

In reality, I drove from Orlando Fl to Bryan Tx on $22.00 worth of gas only stoping when I really HAD to GO.. Criusing at mach 0.8 lol 80mph. B)

It was a good trip, if I hadn't had the Sirus satt. I think I would have run alot of people off the road from boardom that would have caused the jello headed neck bob.....

The drive back was the real story it was when Katrina hit La. , I had to detour onto I55 north to meridian Mis.
I counted 150 cars that had run out of gas and the people where trying to get rides by running out infront of the drivers. Kinda like a horror movie..... State & local police had to block off the exits off of the interstate because there was no gas. Every time we would get somewhere being tired we would think 'hey lets stop here, but NO VACANCY's . We crossed over on truck route 80 to montgomery AL then south on hwy 231 to cottondale Fl I think we finnally stopped in Ocala Fl. and slept till the next day... Everywhere we would have stopped was hit with a tornado or micro bursts.. Neat Huh B)

Lots of folks are joking, but I'll give you a straight answer: NO.

Extremely experienced "pulse and glide" drivers may be able to do it, but that requires holding your speed below 42 mph. Depending on terrain and conditions, normal range on a tankful would be 400 to 500 miles.

Drafting off a semi probably won't do it either, but will very possibly get you killed. Be sensible: stop for gas along the way and drive safely. You won't get there on one tank, but you will get there on less gas than any other car could do, unless it's a two-seater Honda Insight.

    Ground control to Major Tom.

Forget the diapers Lisa. Next time go for those Neoprene Wet Okole seat covers and some baby wipes. And try an alias next time. You wouldn't want to get your bail revoked.

Burt Reynolds was in a movie where people were required to stay in a room for a very long time with no restroom breaks. While everyone else was uncomfortable and squirming, Burt was calm, cool and collected. He wore the "Motorman's Friend" - a tube down one leg into an ankle reservoir.
