    They're trying to clear out the '09's before too many 2010's hit the lot and eliminate the possibility of buyers leaving the Gen II in the dust. Bringing the price point within reach on the 2009 allows many to consider hybrids who couldn't before.

    Be careful with that number. That extra value package savings is something that is printed on the window sticker. The 09 package #6 was discounted by toyota on the sticker. The old price was just shy of $30,000. The new MSRP is $26,800 or something. Add the $750 rebate and you are still paying MSRP.
