After reading a bit about warp stealth and trying it in my 2002 Prius, I found that I could get a no arrow glide over 41 mph and as a matter fact any speed. Which from what I've read so far looks like it may be something unique to the 1st generation Prius. Sounds like in the Gen II and III over 41 mph it's not possible to get the display to show no arrows and the warp stealth mode in those vehicles looks like EV only mode with orange arrows coming from the electric motor to the wheels. Haven't found anything written up on warp stealth for 1st generation Prii, but I would assume that this no arrow mode is what warp stealth looks like a 1st Gen, right? Has there been any conclusions as to, if on the highway it's better to keep PnGing at high speeds with warp stealth or to just drive a constant 55 mph? Thank you.
August 2000 is when "stealth mode" was first coined. It was in reference to propulsion coming exclusively from the electric motor, with the engine motionless. December 2003 is when "warp stealth" was first coined. Propulsion was the same, thrust only from the electric motor, but the pistons in the engine were active though without any combustion. No arrows... gliding... is different. That's when the electric motor isn't contributing any thrust for propulsion either. .
