I'm not sure it may be as obvious with Apple Maps, but with Android Auto maps in the perspective mode, the text for the far away streets gets predictably quite small.

I have the 12" screen and the other day while stopped, I took a closer look at those street names off in the distance and they were perfectly readable up close. That is one high rez screen! There isn't any mentioning of screen resolution in the manual and not even in a quick Google search. Any idea what the resolution is?

Is the 8 inch screen just as high rez?

Did you find anything similar for Gen 5 Prius? Couldn't find anything in the manual. I could be wrong, though

Edit: similar = changing startup image

@pramodhrachuri : No, I haven't tried that yet on either my wife's Prius V or my Prime. Solar eclipse trip took priority! :) Very cool.

Take a close-up with your phone and enlarge and count the pixels per inch.

I am guessing that the smaller screen has the same number of vertical pixels, hence a slightly higher dpi but a narrower aspect ratio.
