I need to replace my 2017 Prius three touring that was totaled a couple weeks back.. So, with mileage, condition & features all being equal would you buy a 2014/2015 Prius or a 2016/2017 Prius?.

by the way, I’m a full-time, Lyft, UBER and Amazon Flex driver.

    thank you all!

gen 4 in a heartbeat. better car, less head gasket issues, brake actuators, inverters.
just watch out for the potential heat exchanger coolant leak

Thanks. Where would I look for the coolant leaking?

Also, I found a 2014 Prius c Four with 58k miles. Super nice condition. Paint finish looks new. Except on the top of the rear spoiler, but I've noticed that on many Priuses incl my 2017 Three Touring. It's had just owner who kept it very clean inside & out. Regular 5k mile maintenance w/records. No accidents. Steering is still super tight & responsive.

I drove it for about 40 minutes. 20 mins of the interstate got 48 mpg. 20 mins on city streets & county roads got 54 mpg. I know it's 10 yrs old but it seriously looks excellent, drives great & was only driven <6k mi per year.

Ya think it would be a reliable daily for a few years? I had a 2012 Prius Plug-in from 175k til 306k & a 2017 Three Touring from 48k til 130k when it was totaled. Nothing but regular maintenance, brakes, tires & a wheel bearing on the combined 213k miles so I'm sold on the Prius" reliability. All the auto review sites give the Prius c nearly as good reliability scores, but I've seen you on these boards a lot so I thought I'd get your thoughts if ya didn't mind 4F2B6AAA-550E-41C1-AF77-38CE7D1991D2_1_201_a.jpeg .

I know it's a step back from the comfort, power, size & newer technical features of the Prius Gen 4, but for the price I have to consider it.

    Thanks again

It leaks into the exhaust and out the tailpipe, likely burned up.
Idk a good test, maybe google?
You should post the c in the c forum , I’ve read good things
