Will Gen 3 headlight assemblies fit the Gen 2 Prius? The outline seeing the fender/hood/etc seems about the same just looking at them. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
You can retrofit a projector assembly into the Gen2 case. Google or search YouTube for "retrofit projector". If your Gen2 is already HID, a D4S (instead of a D4R) bulb works with the existing ballast. (D2S instead of D2R for 2004-2005).
True, but even Gen3 projector is subpar versus the other retrofit options. EVEN the Gen3 plus IV led light pattern leaves a lot to be desired versus the many options out there minus the visual appeal of the multiple lens look.
