Gen 2 Prius winter wheels and tires (Blizzacks)

Price: $405 plus shipping - local pickup preferred

Winter tires and wheels that were mounted on second generation (2003 to 2009) Toyota Prius. Your car should stop and turn with more grip with these than in an AWD car with all season tires. It makes a huge difference in confidence and increases safety during the winter months. Used over two winters but with minimal miles as I work from home. The Bridgestone Blizzak WS80 tires themselves cost ~$500 without the alloy rims which were another ~$500.

Only reason we are getting rid of these is that we don't need them in Texas. They are located in Fort Collins, Colorado.

    Tire information:
The Blizzak WS80 is Bridgestone's Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for compact, coupe, and sedan drivers looking to power through winter with confident control. When winter driving conditions are at their worst, Bridgestone's Blizzak WS80 winter tires are designed to be at their best.

Bridgestone Blizzak WS80The Blizzak WS80 uses Bridgestone's next-generation adaptive NanoPro-Tech Multicell compound that features a water-loving hydrophilic coating and microscopic bite particles. This combination allows the Multicell compound to remain flexible in below-freezing conditions, wick water off the road to combat slipping on packed snow and ice while the bite particles act as microscopic studs that deliver more grip and improve braking on glare ice. This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring 20% more (compared to WS70) block edges where Circumferential and Lateral Grooves help channel water, slush and snow away from the contact area for added control while 3-D Zig-Zag Sipes increase the number of snow biting edges.

Note that these do not have tire pressure sensors installed. During the winter you will get the small orange tire pressure light. Never bothered me. These rims may fit other vehicles like a Corolla from the same time frame.

    Purely editorial:

Get a $2 tire depth gauge, and try to get a picture that doesn't focus on your socks. ;)

    That was kinda snippy, sorry.

But yeah: tread depth gauge is something everybody with a car should pick up, doubly so if you're trying to sell some used tires.

And for focus: try to frame the shot so there's nothing in the background the phone/camera can latch onto. Putting a plain/smooth piece of white paper behind, or take the shot with nothing but plain sky in the background. With phones can usually touch the screen where you want to focus too.

Oh how I wish these were OEM wheels. I'm in Fort Collins and looking for winter tires/wheels for my 3rd gen.
