Hi my brake pipe has split at the rear curved section that doesn’t have the plastic sheathing on. Connected to the flexi.
Would it be possible to add a short section instead of the full length. Many thanks

If you're talking about the steel tubing, then yes, repairs are often made by splicing in a short length of replacement tubing. The location of the damage and condition of the remaining tubing determines whether the line needs to be spliced/flared on both ends or just one, with the other end going directly to an oem fitting.

Possible but very difficult. The only safe method of splicing in new tubing requires proper flaring tools.

You have to strip the plastic off of a straight section on the car. Cut the tubing, put on the fitting nut for the splice (inverted flare or DIN-bubble), then flare the end). Make sure to use or form the correct OE type end at the brake hose.

Do NOT use a "compression" fitting, as it is not rated for brake system pressures.

My first choice is to get a new OE line if possible. Otherwise get a roll of Nickel-Copper brake line and replace the entire piece.
