Nothing would look better to me than stock. Anything I could imagine would only look stupid, or rather make me look stupid for wasting money. You'd love my VW Golf that I bought last year. When I was buying it, the salesperson and the sales manager both asked me if I was sure I wanted a stickshift. I hardly notice the difference myself.
With a manual, which I've driven for most of my 50 yrs of driving, you're touching it all the time. With the automatic, once it's in D, that's it for shifting til P. For the most part. Doesn't seem worth it to change to a different one
The current trend are sculptured odd shaped shift knobs that do not move in predictable linear tracks as did older supplied round ones. I would replace the odd shaped sculptured knob with a round one.
All knobs remote controls for drones, cars, thrusters on spacecraft, or whatever are centered and proportional with the resulting motion equally in any direction or multi-directional motion. When oddly shaped and not centered, movements result in varying resulting linear or other multi directional movements. Basically, sculptured shift knobs are made for image over substance.
Just picked up mines around Xmas. I changed mine like the 2nd day. I move it from the car I traded in. It’s a momo.
