Has anyone tested how many gallons this Gen of Priis will burn if you let them idle for 6 hours?
Next 700 mile trip I will be sleeping in the back on a full size air bed. I will be using the AC or Heater

I use to use our 2008 as a camper while camping out at the DZ (drop zone, skydive). At that time it used 3.5 gallons during the winter (heater set at 68) and 3 gallons during the summer (AC set at 74).

The Prius will use a lot more gas to make heat than it normally would, so it depends on the conditions.

This is basically how people use the Prius for emergency power generation mode for a house.
I don't see why Gen3 would be too much different than a Gen2.

That's what I figured, better to ask then be out of gas.
