    Fuse Box

I've asked this question several times on the Yahoo Users Group page and have yet to receive an answer. I've squeezed, pulled, and even considered prying in order to open the underhood fuse box - to no avail. I'm afraid of breaking something. Can anyone tell me how to open the fuse box?

Look at page 275 of your Owner's Manual. Figure 1 show a littletab(it looks like one, but isn't) Look on the upper rim, about 1 inch in from the left. Feel down, there is a little thingee. Pull it out(towards the top) and you'll feel the lid loosen. Go on around the lid to find others. As a last resort, I'll ask my Toyota mechanic how to get it open. I know it's easy because the tow truck driver had it open in seconds to jump my 12 volt battery. There are 12 volt terminals under the lid also.

Got my oil changed today. Put in synthetic. Mechanic showed me how to open the fuse box under the hood. The box tapers almost to a point on the bottom. On that botton EDGE put your finger close to the top of the edge, at that point. You will feel a square projection. Move your finger down just a little and press on a square point there. That will release the cover. When you get the cover off, you can see the place to press. It's difficult to find the correct place to press.
