    Hi All
I need to put a front license plate on my prius.
I notice there are a couple little indents on my front bumper but no holes . Do I need to drill holes or something else here to mount a plate ??
    Thanks

Mine came with the bumper drilled for license plate. Im guessing you have to drill yours to mount license plate

You will need the front plate holder as well, to mount the front plate to.

Please don't drill into your bumper! Purchase a plate relocation kit from ebay or amazon.

...or just use some self-tapping screws. The bumper is only plastic, after all...

There's a standard bracket available from Toyota, the dealership will have it for sure. Looks like this:

Our state (Virginia) requires front licence plates. Somewhere on Priuschat I saw a different way to mount the OEM licence plate holder... instead of hooking the license plate mount's bottom grab brackets to the top of the grill opening slats, it looks a lot better to hook these grab brackets to the very bottom of the grill opening slats. This moves the licence plate from mostly above the grill to a mostly "within the grill" alignment, and IMHO looks much much better.ofncourse, the top screw holes must move down as well.

Check regs, for how low it can be. You might be ok. It would be a bit of grill block?

I Winter-block my grille every year and it hasn't been a problem as the licence plate holder sits in front of the grille other than the two hook-tab arms.

In the Summer, it's the top two grille openingsthat are key for cooling / ventilating the inverter radiator as well as the top of the normal radiator (heat rises etc).

I checked with an ebay seller and he tells me most plate relocation kits do requre drilling so I have two questions
1 Are there any plate relocation kits for the 2010 Prius that do not require drilling into the bumper?
2 Which tow point license plate mounting kits will work with the prius?

The tow hook plate holders I have seen that work with the Prius are around 40 dollars Are there any going for around 20?
