Complaints about the Gen 4 seat being too firm, uncomfortable on long drives? I got one of these from Amazon. Works pretty good. Better than nothing. Cushy. Good quality. Raised me up about an inch. Doesn't slide around due to rubber on the reverse side.

Do you have a link to the product on Amazon?

It should be there. Do you see the Amazon box? Click on that.

My eyes are getting worse - I couldn't see the Amazon box.

But (based on the picture) I think that this is the link

Your link is correct. If you are using Ad blocker on your browser, you have to pause it to see AMAZON box with a link. Apparently, the Ad blocker recognizes it as a pop-up ad box.

Yes, that's it, sir. :) I think Priuschat makes the Amazon box disappear?

Looks good. For me, firmness is not the issue, but breathability. I'm going to get one of those beaded seat covers like cabbies use. I have one on my motorcycle and they really help on rides longer than half an hour.

That and a lumbar support pad.

Found this OEM lumbar support seat cushion at Japanese Toyota website specifically made for 4th Gen Prius including PRIME (or PHV). According to the Toyota site, all 4th Gen Prius has SRS Side Airbag, and use of seat cover/cushion that is non-OEM by Toyota may cause malfunctioning the airbag. Then I saw this vehicle specific cushion is 37,260JPY. My God, that's over $300USD. I can't find similar OEM seat cushion at US TOYOTA site, so it must be Japanese market specific.

That's nice looking. Maybe good for a smaller person? Pretty expensive. And my big old bum needs something larger. ;)

It doesn't really look like the right thing. instead of adding just some cushion to the lumbar area, it adds cushion also to the bottom and to the higher parts of the back.

It ends up being just an expensive height booster.

Once tip I found that helps the seat comfort was to lower the seat all the way. Yes, it's lower, but it lowers only the rear part of the seat. Unless you're really short, you will get used to the lower point of view and you will have some more seat comfort without any modifications. I still need the lumbar support, though.

Buckwheat seat topper is great for breathability and really comfortable. I have this over my black softex and zero sweat/sticky issues, it's slim too. Well worth the low price.

I use a small OMP lumbar support that I keep handy in the console when needed. It's designed for their racing bucket seats. Foam is ideal firmness in my opinion.

Very nice. Thanks for posting that. I'm ordering the lumbar support (the larger one) $23.

My soft foam seat cushion makes a big difference. Really helps ease the pain from my nerve damage/back surgeries. Plus I let air out of the tires (down to factory specs) and now the car feels smooth, like I'm driving a Cadillac. Ok, not quite, but it's much better.

BTW - I know this is an expensive option. However, if you have cloth seats....the Clazzio seat covers have a good amount of 'memory foam' type material incorporated into them. I have used Clazzio on our 2010 liftback and our 2012 v (wagon) and can definitely notice the difference on both vehicles. In fact, we just completed a nearly 5,000 mile road trip in 2012 v (wagon) and not a sore bum in sight! (y)
