Hello All, I thought I might give you follow up after seeking advice in Feb about my Prius purchase. This was a car with only 14,000 miles, always garaged, but infrequently driven for the previous year. I bought it privately from a family I am friendly with.
Well it has been a good car. I have 28,000 miles on it and am averaging 47 mpg recently. I replaced the tires a few weeks after purchasing it with General all season radials. The only repair for me has been to have the TPM sensors replaced recently as one failed. I also put a new Kenwood Bluetooth radio in.
In summary, despite some concerns about traction battery health that were expressed on this forum, so far so good for me. I hope that this may reassure others about buying low mileage older Prius vehicles.

Congratulations on buying the 2008 when it had 14k miles. Keep up with the scheduled maintenance and you'll be joining the 300,000 mile club someday.
