All of a sudden (after not driving my 2004 Prius for 10 days, my fob won't open the car or start it (unless inserted). . . until later while doing errands. Then works fine. Is there a battery? Fixable? I bought it used and original owner couldn't find tag. I have another working fob. Do I just go to a dealer?

Yup, there's a battery and it definitely needs replacement... about $3.50 and a few minutes of effort.

There's photos in the Iconic User-Guide showing how to do it.

Pressing in the middle is futile. Placement makes a huge difference. With your thumb at the far edge, it slides right off.

A new battery can't hurt, but also check that you didn't bump the SKS switch under the steering wheel and just turn it off. And welcome to PriusChat! :welcome:
