Only 9 seconds long, I recommend playing it at a slow speed:

The battery cells become structural like the empty cells of a honey comb panel:

This gives tremendous mechanical strength to the battery pack as a floor plan and structural body part.

Hopefully it’s better made then their suspension components.

Source: Tesla recalls 9,500 Model Xs and Ys over weak adhesive and loose bolts - The Verge

A second, smaller recall was issued for 401 Model Y vehicles from the 2020 model year, which may feature loose bolts in the front upper control arm that connects to the car’s steering knuckles. Without the bolts properly tightened, the arm could detach from the steering knuckles, affecting the driver’s ability to steer the car. . . .

Source_2: Toyota Mirai US car sales figures

    2019 1,502

Looks like 401 / 1502 ~= 27% of the total Mirai sales were in the Model Y recall ("The Mouse That Roared").

Looks like a lot more Tesla owners are roaring and are bringing a class action law suit against Tesla for suspension issues ;)

I recently stumbled across this technical YouTube:

Usually, the signal-to-noise ratio is low enough I recommend speeding up the playback. This one needs more time and following up papers referenced.

BTW, Tesla battery advances have increased the expected semi-truck range from 500 km to 620 km:

I'm not in the market to buy a Class 8, semi-trailer truck. But for sure, BEV is the way to go for cost and because the driver labor limitations provide all the time needed to charge the trucks. Perhaps Nikola might make a real truck someday that does more than roll down a hill.

Tesla needs to bring the Tesla Truck back into the lime light as there is so much more noise about Hydrogen trucks coming to market from various manufacturers. Tesla will have a share of this market, but Hydrogen will have the majority with Legacy Truck Manufacturers investing into it.

Another off topic thought - attempting to raise the size of non-issue transportation.
Thanks for that anyway, Captain tangent.
