Welcome to the PIP world. If you go to the PIP MPG spreadsheet you will see some interesting info. Just doing some rough averages and comparing to Fuelly.com, here's the skinny on PIP MPG based on EV% only, without KWH calculated. Of course every drivers' experience (speed, hills, etc) will vary, but check this out. EV% 20 MPG 62 EV% 25 MPG 72 EV% 30 MPG 75 EV% 35 MPG 80 EV% 40 MPG 86 EV% 45 MPG 92 EV% 50 MPG 98 Fuelly.com average for PIP's is 70.5, so for the majority of us we're averaging about 25% EV versus 75% HSI.
I just filled up for the first time myself yesterday. Only took me a minute or two to find the new location of the fuel door release button........ 1688 miles and 214 mpg. Guess I can't complain.....
I'm still on the first tank but it's dead nuts accurate with your data. I am at a little over 850 miles, 51% EV and sitting at 98 MPG per the OSD.
That's awsome for a Pip driver. I see that is 73% EV.. Mostly commuting with short trips or do you plug in all over the place? How many months did that tank last? Glad to see you added it to the MPG spreadhseet.
I've got a 20 mile round trip commute, and I can recharge at work, so I don't need any gas there. It helps that my girlfriend is fine with using her car for any road trips that we go on. I gave her a pretty good deal on my old 2010 Prius 5. I do miss a few of it's features - do you think she would notice if I swapped out her JBL speakers, leather steering wheel, LED headlights, and 17" wheels without telling her? I use my chargepoint card to plug in whenever it is convenient. Putnam Toyota's gas lasted me for 2 1/2 months. Since I use my car for work occasionally, and they re-imburse me .53 / mile, it basically doesn't cost me anything for "fuel" (gas or electricity) - not that I bought the car to save money....
I'm in the same boat. My company allows me to charge 48 cents per mile to the company charge. Problem is they are owing me gas faster then i can burn it. Wasn't the case when i had my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500... The Dealerships tank got me 1024 miles. Then my Company paid the 43$ to fill up my first tank and my company still owes me anoth 48ish dollars. At this rate i dont think I'll pay for gas at all and my company saves money.
