ok I know what you're thinking. TP, why the heck did you post an E-Class review on the news page?? Is it a hybrid E-Class? The answer is no. However, I'd like to point out a few features on this E-Class. You can see the kid and the adult on the road a lot easier on the night vision camera. This is how 19 cu. ft (540 litres) of trunk space looks like. It is huge so I'm wondering where the 21 cu. ft of space for the Prius comes from. It has to be including the bin and the space above the tonneau cover (i.e. to the roof)
OK. It isn't a hybrid, but you still didn't answer the first question you asked: Why were you test driving an E-Class? Yes, I like the night vision assist. I think it would help most at twilight. But, when do you see the image? What is normally on that screen?
I like the more aggressive headlights on the new E-Class. Did you test drive it for fun or for other reasons?
This load space is huge. Can you sit across the boot space of a Merc E class with your legs flat across the floor?
Of course, the US will see the E320 Bluetec turbodiesel, which will likely allow the car to go from San Francisco to San Diego on a single fillup. I wonder has anyone succeeded in doing this on a 2G Prius without using hypermiling techniques?

That's their MFD so it'll show the nav, radio, climate, settings menus etc. Probably.. but the legs would go towards the rear seats lol. It won't be as comfortable as rae vynn is
Miles per tank is fairly useless unless the tanks are the same size. That said, I have made it from San Diego to Mountain View (it as about 450 miles) on a single tank without even trying (though it was close!). Even tested out the top speed and acceleration power to avoid getting run over by a big rig on the way. Speeds were typically ~75mph or 5-10mph above the speed limit. If I had kept speeds to the speed limit or 5mph below, should be able to make it the 500 miles from San Diego to San Francisco without much drama.
nice that they improved the trunk... RWD cars are so inefficient with space. And yeah, Prius trunk is deeper (up to the windows) hence the size. Its worth to mention that Prius is half meter smaller and probably has more space at the back
