Well I knew it wouldn't stay primo for long... I was backing up in our yard and I slowly hit one of the *#&!#$ half-barrels and put a nick in the rear bumper. ...I knew I should have got ours with a backup cam.

Anyway, I wonder if the dealers hve any 'touch-up' type paint. I guess the Blizzard Pearl would be tough to duplicate. I'll probably just go look for a little bottle of Testors gloss white and dab that on. I'm sure that will hide it well enough. Our poor hoopie has to spend it's entire life outside in the elements anyway, so I'll never be able to keep it looking as good as one that gets to stay in a garage most of the time. It just doesn't need my help aging....

Testors paint--now that brings back some memories of building car models as a kid.

The dealers sell Toyota touch up paint.

Sorry about the ding, I know it's painful to git the first ding in a new car.

As stream said the dealer sells touch up paint. What I have discovered with touch up paint is 1. be sure to shake the color bottle well to mix the color in, and 2. it comes with a little brush in the bottle but for real small dings it is sometimes easier to use a toothpick. Make sure you have a soft rag handy so if you do a poor job the first time you can wipe it off and start over.

I wished I was nearby because I could fix that easily. White is one of the best colors to touch up on the planet. I've had several white cars and could never find the touched up spots.

Go to the dealer and get your exact match of paint. They do a nice job on those. I have already bought one for my Barcelona Red.

Get some Turpentine and clean the area well. With the brush dab some on your nick. It will bubble, which is fine. You will have to layer in several coats to bring the paint even with the surrounding paint. Let set for 12 minutes. Take a paper towel and dab on some Turpentine and lightly remove any paint that got onto your cars paint. Once you are happy with that give it 30 minutes and do it again until you have brought the paint even with the paint on the car. Tiz a walk in the park for any owner of white!

Turpentine will not harm your cars paint but will remove the touchup paint even after it dries if you press hard enough.

Your subject line reminded me to make an appointment for a local installer of the clear bra stuff. Settled on using the XPEL brand stuff, paying $950 for FULL bumper, front quarter panels, full hood, rear-view mirror, etc. Now to make sure I don't hit any rocks between here and Saturday's install date.

I dinged the side of my bumber on a pole the second day I had my car. And I have a back up camera! Sad... :(

Same color Blizzard/Pearl. Dealer told me it was color #070, i ordered the paint pens online and plan to fix it up this week. I got 3 pens with it - Base / Top / Clear coat.

    Hope that helps.

$650 for a small rub on left front area! I had my Prius 2010 for a week and drove to Glacier National Park. I stopped for a photo - my wife asked if I could go up another foot for a better shot - expensive photo - ouch. There are large square rocks used as a guardrail. I inched up and heard the scrape. I have $500 deductible so now have been driving it like a teenager who has borrowed my dad's car - very carefully ( except when I wasn't racing my friends with it):)

Well, the pens were only $40 shipped, might want to look into a little DIY next time you knick it up, seems like a lot of moolah for a little rub.

My wife's first drive on the freeway resulted in an SUV sending a stone that hit us right in the middle of the drivers side rear door. I've painted in the nick. If you don't know where to look, you will not find it. But, I know its there and there is a very tiny ding that I will have to get rubbed out eventually.

There are more of us than I thought.

I paid around $8 for my Barcelona Red touch up paint. It was a spot on match!

My six year old son took off his seat belt, pulled it WAY out in front of him and let it go like a slingshot....needless to say the metal tang hit the wheelwell area with the door open and took out a chip...blizzard pearl as well. This happened the first time I pulled the car into our garage.
