Hey everyone, does anyone know where the firewall is located? Specifically the one that runs through the driver footwell to the engine bay? I took a look underneath the footwell area and found dead ends, am I slow? Cheers!

KInda hard to miss the firewall. Try to get into the engine bay from inside the cabin, you'll find it.

Are you asking about the firewall grommets where wiring passes through the firewall?

The Electrical Wiring Diagram shows their rough locations.

Or look underneath for some fat bundles of wire and follow them,

The firewall is located behind the engine on the engine compartment side, and in front of the accelerator and brake pedals on the occupant cabin side. It is also in front of/under the glove box on the passenger side of the occupant cabin.

What's the reference to the firewall from? Your cars owners manual, or some article you found on the internet?

Because there are two main types of firewalls in modercars. The old school firewall is between the gas engine and the cabin to slow a possible engine fire from entering the cabin. The other type is a computer firewall that are now beginning to show up in modern cars with wifi / bluetooth and telmetrics connections.
