I can't seem to connect to Monzilla at all, even their link at the bottom of the page here doesn't show up....they may be overloaded or down.

How do you download from that FTP site? Do I have to download all the files? Maybe I need to wait for the main site to cool down a bit.
You'd want to choose the "en-US" folder and grab the "Firefox Setup 1.0.exe" file. Worked for me. Of course, that file is for Windows. Alternatively, you could wait and/or retry the main site several times. I was able to get in a couple of minutes ago after a few attempts.
NOTE: I should mention that the new release whacked a couple of themes I downloaded. Some, apparently, aren't compatible with 1.0.
Their site is getting drilled. I wonder if it's from users wanting to get it or a DOS attack from Microsoft?

I downloaded Firefox and love the tabbed browsing. My most common screen is the "view posts since last visit". I hold the [Ctrl] button and click the threads I want to read. They all load in tabs and I just click through them to read. This cuts down the wait time of going back to the thread list. By the time I'm done reading tab 1, tabs 2 - n have finished loading. And when I post a reply, I just go to another tab and let the reply go through its "click here to go back to the thread" screen in the background. I also use it in a similar fashion to read my internet mail. I installed the LittleFox 1.0.1 theme because I like screen real estate and small icons.
I use Firefox the same way. It has saved me much time waiting for pages to load. If one is interested in open-source software another great program is OpenOffice. found at OpenOffice.Org. A great alternative to Microsoft Office without the exhorbitant cost.
I think I use IE only once or twice a month. Firefox is such a pleasure to use (particularly now that I have a Google Toolbar for it).
Found a new feature of FireFox that I absolutely love. When reading a page, highlight a word or phrase and right-click on it. In the pop-up menu is the option: [Search the web for "xxxxxx"] Selecting this option will open a Google search in a new tab. That's the coolest feature I've every seen in a very long time!

Install “DictionarySearch†to your “Extensions†You use DictionarySearch the same way you described the built in web search function, but DictionarySearch will allow you to add up to four other search options for online dictionaries, thesaurus, etc. of your choice. If you haven’t added an extension it’s easy. (And very easy to uninstall): Click on: Tools > Extensions > Get More Extensions DictionarySearch is located under “Top Rated Firefox Extensionsâ€. Click on the link, then Right Click on “Install Now†and “Open Link In New Window†Then click on “Install Now†after the program has finished downloading. After program has installed, exit and restart Firefox, then try searching a word on a web page. To set your favorite online dictionaries, click on Tools > Extensions > then Right Click on DictionarySearch > Options > Help > then the link to the web page which lists the online dictionaries and their search strings. There are hundreds of other extensions for you to try . . . but don’t go overboard . . . remember your boat is now levitating! Another nice thing about Extensions: they stay with FireFox when you upgrade to a new version of FireFox, but will disable themselves if not compatible and ask you to manually Update your Extensions. Sometimes the extensions author isn’t up to date, but that is better than incompatibilities which can lead to crashes! Under Tools > Options > Advanced > Software Update . . . make sure both FireFox and My Extensions and Themes are checked for automatic update searches. P.S. Another cool FireFox function: To find a word buried somewhere on a web page, just type the word on the keyboard and Firefox will highlight it.
