Yes. Just one thing ... the horn sounds wimpy. it does not GRAB the attention of the lane changer who attempts to cut in front of you with no signal, or the driver backing out of a parking spot who isn't looking.

    Anyone agree?

I pulled a horn from a junkyard F150 and swapped it into my '05 prius. I may have to do the same again...

Yes, I agree. Have replaced the OEM horn on our 08 Yaris and 09 Fit Sports with Fiamm El Grande electric horns and will do the same on the Prius. :bounce:

They sound like the horns on the Chevy Suburban...LOUD. Grabs the attention of all around you....pronto!

    Haven't tried the horn yet.

My two biggest complaints are the rear spoiler which is obnoxious in the center rear-view mirror (getting used to it) and the lack of power/memory seats and mirrors.

The only time I used my horn another driver looked over with a "Did you hear that rat squeal?" look.:(

There's a couple of threads over in the Gen III Accessories and Modifications forum about Premium Horns. I just installed mine last Friday. Definite improvement, though they took a bit of work to "fit" as they're likely designed for a different model.

I'd gladly take a $40-$50 price increase for a better horn fitted from the factory.

OK, I completely agree. However, it's a huuuuuuge step up from the one in my '06 Corolla. People laughed when when I honked before, and now they just ignore me.

Check out the Psychoblaster horns from hornblasters.com. They were on sale for $20 a month ago and they will scare the living daylights out of anyone!!!! You just need to get an air compressor hooked up, but I LOVE mine! People will move....guaranteed! The look on their face is priceless when they hear that obnoxious noise coming from a Prius.
