I know the manual for my '06 specifically states to use only regular grade gasoline, does anyone have exerience with using any of the ethanol grades?

There are many posts on this topic. Do a search for ethanol. I know john1701a has been using E10 for several years now and averages 48+ MPG. His statement is somewhere in one of those ethanol threads.

Here in Ottawa, Canada Ethanol 10 is quite widely available and my Canadian Prius manual says that the car can easily run on E10. I've used it several times.

All "gas" in Minnesota is 10% Ethanol (strong corn lobby) and all "diesel" is 20% Ethanol. There are more Ethanol fueling pumps in Minnesota than any other state. There is a move afoot to mandate 20% Ethanol for gasoline in addition to diesel. There are many E-85 cars around here.
There is one guy who shows up here and there who claims to run his 1st generation Prius on E-85. He is doing so in conjunction with The University of Minnesota-Mankato, which is the site of the state's future fuel research institute.
Recently I "blended" about a gallon of old lawnmower gas in my 2004 Prius and had to spend $500 to get the system cleaned out!

Lawn mower gas with E 20? E 85? Please could you clarify?
