Got a P0001 error , Fuel volume regulator stuck opened....where is the fuel volume regulator is located on a first Gen. Prius? Thank you!!
All of that stuff is bogus ... looks like you got a scan to start with from a scan tool that isn't Prius-compatible, and then looked up the code for some other car. Backing up a little ... Hi! What's wrong with your Prius? Was it doing something that made you think it should be scanned for codes? Are you anywhere near a dealer with a proper Prius scan tool? Or do you have a few minutes to search this forum and learn about other tools (Mini VCI, ScanGauge II, Torque, etc...) that will work? In case there is any fuel pressure problem, pump and regulator for your car are located in the tank and not separately replaceable. Cheers, -Chap
No sir, I got code P0001 and it's mainly related to Prius fuel pressure regulator, Fuel pressure regulator is located in the fuel injectors rail on the top of the engine not in the fuel tank.... Check this part out on Ebay Set of 4 Fuel Injectors Rail Pressure Regulator Toyota 1 5L 1NZFE 23250 21020 | eBay Thanks!!
1. P0001 is not a valid Prius DTC. You need a better code reader, for example Mini VCI. 2. The eBay part you provided a link to is not for Prius. Classic and 2G Prius use the 1NZFXE engine which is not the same as 1NZFE. Toyota NZ engine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia 3. There is no fuel pressure regulator on the Prius fuel rail. If that part was present, that would require a return fuel line to the fuel tank. A casual inspection should immediately prove to you that there is no such return fuel line and no regulator on the fuel rail. This is a deliberate design feature to reduce HC vapor production by the fuel system.
