Priuserror by Davidude posted May 4, 2020 at 1:11 PM After my 12v battery died, my Prius displayed a red triangle and apparently said something was wrong with the transmission. Girlfriend was starting the car. Now I restarted the car and this red light keeps flashing. There are no error codes on the OBD2 scanner. Any ideas? Car has no problems really.
185k. Will be reading the techstream codes next week when I have time to setup a Windows 7 VM to use the software. The code went away so I guess it was just a random code it decided to throw. I bought a trickle charger so the battery shouldn't die again or give me any problems, fingers crossed.
No thats the hybrid failure alarm. It has a rtod too on the dash. Bad hybrid battery. Probably has a bad 12 volt too.
Car is driving fine since, healthy battery & 12 volt is still good. 12v is pretty fresh though, I'm sure it'd keep dying otherwise.
