So…my car came ashore on July 22 and still has the old Entune on it. I have absolutely no idea when I'll get the USB upgrade stick (hell, my mom's car, which was delivered in early March, still hasn't gotten its upgrade stick). Can someone here just post the files or an ISO of the memory stick? I tried searching for this but wasn't very successful.
Just call the customer experience center and see if they know when you'll get it or notify them so they can send you the thumb drive. I said 'when' because someone else had called and based upon info provided they were able to be given a time frame of when their drive would go out. Customer Experience Center: 800-331-4331
Have them send it to your parents or someone else who will be living where they are now for a few more months.
I sent the entune update with this website: Send Large Files for Free - No Registration - Send Big Files
There is a link on the first page in the thread linked below, plus I included some additional info in my post as well: Got my entune flash drive today!! | Page 5 | PriusChat
So, I tried both files, and neither one worked I got the prompt at the Apps screen to update, said yes, and then had an endless loop of "Please wait…" for one second followed by a black screen for ~15 seconds. After waiting for about 15 minutes for this, I said to hell with it and turned off the car. The good news is that radio and backup camera continue to work in this state! But most of the other on-screen stuff is busted and occasionally a black screen with the text like "System is in upgrade mode. Please insert update memory stick to continue" comes up. I ended up driving to the nearest dealer here (less than a mile away) who, much to my surprise, no questions asked, just went ahead and did the Entune upgrade right there on the spot! I was amazed that they even knew the correct version number of the latest Entune software. Anyway, I guess the updated icons for all the apps are nice…lol.
Yeah I was really surprised at how simple it was at the dealer's. If I'd known it was going to be so trivial, I would have just gone there from the outset.
