Actually, I kind of like seeing Mr. Merchants face (albeit unsmiling).

Whenever I see it I know I will be treated to a post chock full
of accurate information, friendly overtures and fair judgments.

As for cats, all we can do is learn to live with them.

I am surprised as everything I have read about Senegal’s says that is not a way to tell sex even looking at the feathers around the vent and tail can be highly inaccurate. The only way to be completely positive is to do a dna and a slightly less accurate way is to feel the pelvic bones. These two have very wide pelvic bones and my avian vet said he would put money on them both being female. I didn’t pay for the dna test because two breeders and an avian vet agree they are female.
One of my many parrot books “Guide to the Senegal Parrot” states that the sexes can look and act alike and color differences can be from sub species or inherited traits. They go on to further state that the only reliable way is dna.

I had a friend who works in rescues look at my girls and say that Lulu Looks like a male but when he felt her pelvic bone gave me a look of surprise and said “she could pass two eggs simultaneously through that pelvis.” So I am 90% sure they are both girls.

I am not questioning you parrot knowledge as I do not know the level of experience you have with birds I am just giving you the history of my two.

Oh and Lulu displays like females do. I haven’t seen Thelma doing anything at all related to sexual behavior yet but she tends to be shy a noted female trait.

First cat avatar on Prius Chat. (Which is Prius Cat in French. And after all, Danny lives in Florida, which is not all that far from New Orleans, where they speak French. I'm sure that's why he named the site Prius Chat instead of a more anglo "Prius Talk." )

There sure are a lot of cat people here, that's for sure. But I like pu..... uh..... kitties so the avatars aren't so bad.
