It's being while that I have posted in this forum, I have Toyota Aqua 62000km done. In our country there are rumors that Aqua or prius c need to replace spark plugs in 40000kms and need to do expensive engine tuneup at about same mileage. At the moment my car doesn't show any symptoms apart from slight decrease in fuel economy (maybe it's in my head). What's your opinion. Thanks in advance.

i don't have an opinion, but the u.s. manual has always stated 120,000 miles for plugs, and no one has had an issue before that. in fact, many are still in good condition when removed.

other than oil and filter every 10k, cabin and air filter inspections, and tyre rotations, there isn't much to do.
if you start to have issues at any point, some things to look at that aren't in the manual are throttle body/maf cleaning, pcv, egr, intake manifold and etc. but those should be way down the road, depending on the quality of your petrol.
you may want to consider changing the tranny fluid at some point. all the best!(y)

Thanks, I have already changed transmission oil, but I also felt it's little too much.

I'm at 66,000km and no worries so far. My fuel economy dropped pretty noticeably over the winter (more than the previous winter) and I started to suspect the plugs, but it recovered back to normal in the spring and I now put it down to the new front wheel snow tires I was running on over that period.
