The engine continues to rev after I take my foot off the accelerator. Does it under many different conditions, but especially the engine needs to be warmed up for it to do this. Toyota just called to say there is nothing wrong with it, even though I had a technician drive it and tell me "this is messed up!" Apparently the master technician that worked on it today didn't have a clue. Under warranty and will fight it! What is wrong with the car? Thank you for any help.

Just a tip, you should list the conditions it is reving. It might help others in diagnosing the problem.

Just off the top of my head, my engine revs when it is cold or when battery state of barge drops below 3 bars. That is completely normal.

If the hybrid battery is overcharged, or nearly so, the car will spin the engine (without burning fuel) to bleed off excess charge so at to not damage the battery. This can be disconcerting as it really can sound like the engine 'revving' to uncomfortably fast RPMs, but this is normal behavior.

Does this tend to happen, for example, after going down a long hill where you're using the regenerative brakes all the way down? This is a textbook recipe for this scenario.

If the battery SoC (State of Charge) indicators are not showing the hybrid battery as "full" when this happens, there may be something else going on. As another poster mentioned upthread, details would be helpful.
