Curious if there is a way to tell what year the engine is from by looking at the engine? I'm trying to buy one but want to verify what year vehicle the engine is from. I've also read there is an "engine number" and "motor number".. i'm not sure what's the difference and which is more relevant to understanding the year of manufacture. My engine, 2010, has a barcode on the side that says X2ZR-W25 221 i'm not sure what this means.. from what i've read, 2010 prius engines are 2ZR-FXE so not sure what the w25 means. thanks for your help.
