    A quote from the article:

    A recent survey put out by Technometrica Market Intelligence showed that over half (55%) of consumers are considering purchasing a hybrid upon their next vehicle purchase, while 22% are considering a diesel-powered vehicle.

    Yet another part of the articles shows that 29 percent of automotive manufacturers/suppliers think that hybrid-electric vehicles will have "no impact" on the industry.

    I see a problem there...
