Has anyone gotten their BT phone system to download and read email and /or messages to them. Both units are supposed to do it. Wondering how you like it?
I think it's a Darwin Prize test. Everyone who gets it to work gets killed off texting while driving.
It worked fine on my Advanced talking to my Blackberry. You need a phone that supports the relevant Bluetooth profiles; it does not depend on having the Entune application on your phone. I turned it off, since I found it to be very annoying and distracting.
Toyota's Connect website might tell you if your phone is compatible. It was untested for the iPhone 4S, but I verified it does not currently work. The Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) is needed and iPhones do not support it. To check what Bluetooth profiles a paired phone supports, go to Setup > Bluetooth > Registered Devices > Details > {paired phone name}.
Are you asking what someone's particular model/carrier is? Since new phone models come out now on almost a weekly basis ... How can one owner's model be relevant? ... just sayin' ... odds are that just a fraction of PC'rs will have the same setup.
