Today, I used a scanner (Autolink AL319 by Autel) to check the M/I readiness for my 08 Prius. Supposedly, the scanner reports that EGR monitor is not supported (or N/A) for this car. This is true or need a better scanner to check the EGR readiness? Any comment and help would be appreciated.
No egr monitor. I think. I do not recall seeing that on Toyota Techstream so if its not there it sure won't be on any other scanner. What are you chasing?
Gen 2 Prius doesn’t really have EGR-system. It can achieve some (pretty small) EGR-effect by adjusting the valve timing but it doesn’t have the failure prone EGR-valve and passages. Prius tech training
