The basics are not that hard. You'll need to mount them mechanically. Will they snap in to any of the existing fixtures? If not, you'll need to secure them to something on your own.

They have a small square plug attached to the light. That will plug into those black cables. The other end of the cable is meant to plug into some existing socket, probably inside the existing lights. You'll plug them in and now they will use power from the original fixture and come on just like the light comes on now.

You do have to be somewhat bold to do this mod. Start the job first thing on a Saturday morning and give yourself plenty of time to get it done. Take each step one at a time and don't take shortcuts.

You should have a set of nylon panel tools.

You can use these tools to pry interior panels with a minimum risk of creating gouges and scratches in the plastic.

I also suggest you get a bag of small zip ties which will come in handy for securing the wires.

Going from memory, here is how I would describe the process. In short, the English instructions look something like:

    1) Remove the rear hatch panels.

    2) Route the wires along the left side of the hatch and zip tie them down to the existing wiring bundles. You'll route the wire along to the top center of the hatch where you will need to feed it through the rubber boot. To complete this step you will need to loosen the roof liner and the panel along the left side of the cargo hatch.

During this step you'll probably need to assemble this connector.

The LED lights have positive/negative polarity. You must be sure you're connecting red to red and black to black.

    3) You'll need to patch the wiring into the circuit for the cargo light on the side.

    4) Snap the cargo lights into the blank spaces provided. Before snapping the panel back into place make sure you've connected the lights to the wiring harness. Then proceed with reassembling the rest of the hatch panels.

When it's all done you'll be lighting the place up like ET when you open the hatch.

So, as for the "feed the wires through the rubber boot" step -- this is easier said then done. This is usually accomplished by pulling them through with some sort of "fish" tool. Basically you'll need to stick something stiff through the boot that you can affix to the wires (either a low profile hook, or tape) and then pull them through.

I hope that helps. If you feel overwhelmed, then find a modder in your area whose willing to help out.
