The entire Southern CA region gets 227 Prius for the first two weeks of May. Yippee (NOT) -- that's gotta be divided between 75 dealers. Some will get 1% of the allocation, and some get 3% or thereabouts like we do. Then, the calculation also takes into account what you have in your pipeline that you have no control over its arrival... like if I have one or two at PORT or in transit that are not yet dropped, they count against me.

So is the supposed increase in production going to the newer markets (i.e. Australia, Europe, etc.)

Hey, seems reasonable to me. How many cars do you Yanks need anyway? 5 per household? Save some for the rest of us.

Anyway, some of us have to pay real money for fuel, so we need the Prius more than you do.

Dianne, Many thanks for all the info on the allocations. I am sure all those who lurk here are grateful for any knowledge about the Prius Food Chain. I look forward to the day you hear that they are shipping 10,000 prii a month ( Okay maybe 2500 :D!)

    Peace,

    Fr. Bill Kessler
