e-cool would work in a Prius?

    I came across this today:

    Would it work in a Prius with its small regular battery? Not to mention the complicated computers controlling everything...

    I wouldn't get it, you can just roll down the windows for a minute and then put them back up and it is cool.

    Unless it's 115F outside in the desert... :)

    I wouldn't get it w/o a solar panel to power it though, the Prius 12V battery is pretty megar when it comes to longevity.

    I'd consider first the deal that fits into the window, and is a solar powered "fan" that keeps the car ventilated.

    I have thought about those fans before, but here around OC it doesn't get that hot. We can do without it. :D

    I received one of those as a birthday present. It is an "Autoveturbo", manufactured in the UK. It is helpful in the parked Prius, but at highway speeds it is too noisy for my tastes. I would use it for extended summer driving at lower speeds, however, so mine is not for sale.

    DAS, and Tochatihu, a 2001 with 59k miles, 46 mpg mostly driven in So Cal
