Just like in the movie Duel (1971).... A few weeks ago I was cruising along 405 South near Carson Toyota. It was about 12:45am and there was not a single car in sight. I had 5-6 lanes to myself and I was on the 2nd slowest lane enjoying my drive when suddenly there was this MONSTER TRUCK with bright lights right on my rear view mirror! This truck got closer and closer but I figured there were other lanes and he can pass me, besides I was going 65 mph but the truck got even closer! Just like the Florida law " I stood my ground" and suddenly I heard this loud horn and flashing lights! I still didn't budge so finally this truck passed me from the right and gradually moved to my lane. I started counting the number of trailers and wheels when this truck passed me and it was at least a 30 wheeler! Now it was my turn to show him what I can do with the Prius so I finally moved to the 3rd lane so he can see me from his side mirror and I blasted my LED headlights set in high beam and occasionally flashing them and honking the horn and I am sure he heard it! The duel finally ended when the truck exited on the 710 freeway.
It's a lot easier for a car to change lanes than a huge semi... and you were in "his" lane He probably had a good laugh watching you spaz out after he passed you.
Not to mention trucks are only allowed in the right 2 lanes and it's illegal to pass on the right. Probably should have moved over instead of succumbing to road-rage.
You were lucky; here in GA, I automatically assume that everyone else in a vehicle has a firearm. And there are way too many TV helicopter live shots of small cars compressed under tractor trailer wrecks......
